What is B2 First?
The B2 First exam is a qualification at the upper-intermediate level of English, level B2 on the CEFR scale. This exam is recognised by many employers, universities and organisations around the world. B2 First helps learners prepare to live in countries where English is spoken, work in English-speaking environments and study on courses that require an upper-intermediate level of English. The exam has four parts: Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.

Your trainer will talk to you about why you are preparing for the B2 First exam, and learn more about your English learning background. You will then have the opportunity to take a practice exam. This will give you and your trainer a clear idea of what your English level is at the start of the course, and what you need to do to improve it.
In addition to developing your language skills the course will familiarise you with all the different aspects of the exam, and give you practice in completing the different task types.
Your trainer will provide you with homework – which will involve practising different parts of the B2 First exam with past exam papers. You will be given detailed feedback on your spoken and written English, which will help you eliminate mistakes. Your trainer will also analyse your performance in Reading and Use of English, and Listening practice exams, in order to identify areas where you can improve.
