B2 FIRST

B2 First courses

What is B2 First?
The B2 First exam is a qualification at the upper-intermediate level of English, level B2 on the CEFR scale. This exam is recognised by many employers, universities and organisations around the world. B2 First helps learners prepare to live in countries where English is spoken, work in English-speaking environments and study on courses that require an upper-intermediate level of English. The exam has four parts: Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.

Who is B2 First for?
The exam is a good choice for people who need an internationally-recognised, lifelong qualification which shows they have an upper-intermediate level of English. It is a useful exam to take while preparing for new work and academic challenges, or before moving to another country. It is also helpful preparation for advanced English study and higher level exams such as C1 Advanced.
Our B2 First preparation courses are suitable for people with a minimum age of 16 and an upper intermediate (B2) level of English.

This will give you and your trainer a clear idea of what your English level is at the start of the course, and what you need to do to improve it.

In addition to developing your language skills the course will familiarise you with all the different aspects of the exam, and give you practice in completing the different task types.

Your trainer will provide you with homework – which will involve practising different parts of the B2 First exam with past exam papers.
