Rachel's career bridges education research and practice. She has 14 years of experience leading academic teams and developing materials for language-learning products. This work is informed by her Linguistics research on language learning efficacy and the acquisition of English pronunciation, and her ESL teaching experience in France, the US, and the UK.

Antonio has over 25 years of experience in the ESL industry, much of which time has been spent as a specialist assisting students in Japan and China. Roles have included teaching business English, IELTS coaching, teacher training and running several university foundation programmes.

Bill began his career as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in China. He then went on to teach in Korea, India and the UK, where his main interests became exam preparation, academic English and business English. He then moved into the field of content development and now writes and edits ESL teaching materials for a wide range of digital and print projects.

Elisa has worked as an ESL teacher and examiner in Indonesia, Europe and the UK. She has experience in materials development and staff professional development in the fields of English for Academic Purposes and Academic Writing. She currently teaches education policy and research methods in UK higher education, as well as working as a language and education policy consultant.

Graham has worked in education for nearly 20 years as a primary school teacher, ESL teacher, examiner, teacher trainer, curriculum writer and editor. He is an experienced editor specialising in international development and social impact projects. He has taught students from over 60 countries and has worked in the UK, Italy and Myanmar.

With over a decade of experience in international education, Ksenia brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic product development, market entry, marketing and student recruitment across the pathway, secondary and HE sectors. As a former international student herself, she understands the importance of ESL in driving student success within the international education system.

Liz has been teaching English as a second language for 25 years, and has taught in Spain, Japan and the UK. She has extensive experience as an examiner and item writer, and has written for a range of qualifications. Liz is currently balancing exam writing, teaching exam preparation classes online and volunteering to teach refugees in the UK.

Max has taught ESL in sixth form colleges in London and Cambridge for more than 20 years. Moreover he has held university posts, teaching Italian at UCL and most recently King’s College, Cambridge. Max is also an author and has published creative literature and poetry in both Italian and English.

Sioban Parker
Sioban has extensive experience in the ESL industry as a teacher, examiner, teacher trainer and materials writer. Numerous work placements have taken her to China, Kazakhstan and Pakistan. She is also a certified international exams inspector and currently divides her time between Norway and the UK.

Nick has taught, examined and been a teacher trainer in ESL for nearly 20 years. Starting in China he moved to the British Council in Malaysia and then returned to the UK. His main focus is teaching IELTS as well as developing IELTS materials.

He has taught at secondary and tertiary levels in the Middle East, Europe and the Far East and has worked as a teacher trainer. Recent projects include developing ESL materials on a UNESCO funded project.
